Get a Good Night’s Sleep
Sounds simple right? Sunday scaries are realll and they prevent sleep like a mofo. Some weeks we have a ton of events/extracurriculars, even something so simple as a conference call before work that can really make your week’s schedule add up. These are usually the things that keep my up at night- the things that upset your typical schedule and plans. In order to get a good night’s sleep make sure to get a good workout in during the day, your body will be tired and ready for rest! Chamomile or Sleepy Tea works wonders- drink a cup about an hour before you’re planning to head to bed. Reading a book can relax your eyes and put you right to sleep (works for me every time!).
If I don’t have my lunch packed and ready to go in the mornings it throws my whole week off! I hate having so spend money on lunches, especially since i usually spend $150 on groceries at Trader Joe’s every Sunday! Bonus points if you pack breakfast and snacks!
Start with a Clean Apartment
On Sunday mornings we usually have what I like to call “Power Hours”. As much as I wish I could say we’re doing shots and reliving our glory days- it’s quite the opposite here. We basically set a timer for 1 hour, put on some music and put on phones away. We pick up anything around the apartment, do dishes, take the trash out, start laundry etc. This sounds lame but we actually kind of enjoy it! We make it into a little game and as soon as the hour’s over we can enjoy the rest of the weekend. No one likes starting the week with a cluttered space or mind and I find that I’m most productive in a clean, organized home. Fresh flowers don’t hurt either! : )
Wake up, Get up
This one is more for Monday mornings than Sunday night but I’ve started doing this recently and it’s a game changer! Ashley from Everyday Pursuits mentioned on her Snapchat that she was doing this for a while so I figured I’d give it a try! I realized I was spending SO much time awake but laying in bed emailing, scrolling, liking. I would sometimes waste AN HOUR doing this! This is an hour I could’ve been working out, walking the dog, getting ready for work (and about a million other things). Moral of the story- I’m going to try to dedicate certain times for screen time and that does not include bedtime, and mornings.
Make Some Fun Plans!
We try not to live for the weekend, but really who doesn’t? Having something to look forward to on the weekend or even after work will help keep you in a positive mood and ready to take on the week!
Last but not least, let’s give this top some loveee. This delicate tulle embroidery is everythinggg and I will for sure be wearing this all fall. It also comes in black that I’m loving with ripped skinnies and oxfords.
