Transitioning from a tight-knit, smaller-scale blogging community in Boston, to a much larger pool of peeps in Los Angeles and San Francisco has been quite the reality check! Kara and I genuinely bonded with so many girls and guys back home who we are now lucky enough to call our good friends! It’s really what made beginning our journey so exciting. To think that adjusting here would be seamless or easy by any means was completely underestimating the situation for sure.
Thanks to Stiletto Gal and Bloguettes I’ve attended some amazing events that they’ve put on in the area, and it’ve given me the chance to connect with my SoCal peers in several different fields. Specifically, Stiletto Gal is all about female empowerment and encouraging us women that we can achieve anything we set our minds too. It’s such a positive mission! Bloguettes, as most of you know, is a company run by Sakura and Lorena (who are so insanely talented) and they offer workshops and webinars about how to establish your brand or expand your business. You don’t necessarily have to have a blog to follow along with either of these companies. These experiences have been a great way to not only network but just meet new friends as well.
Through similar forums I’ve been lucky enough to have bonded with Jessica Moore of Miss Moore Style. We had a super fun shoot at the NoHo Library a couple weekends ago. Later that night we went to the College Fashion Week runway show put on by HER Campus InfluenceHER Collective. Talk about a good time! The looks were so fun and definitely trendy for Fall 2016. I loved meeting new faces and learning stories about how fellow bloggers got started! There are few things better than support from someone who knows the struggle. Dying to attend more events real soon, but definitely can’t wait to touch base with our hometown pals during my trip back to Boston in a few weeks!
