The List no. 5

Satin Ankle Tie Heels from J.Crew

J.Crew is having a huge color moment, which is good for us Debbie Downers in all black (no finger pointing, plz). In another life we’re total prepsters rocking brightly colored cardigans hoping from Cape Cod to West Palm Beach. J.Crew made waves at NYFW by using no models, only friends and family of the brand. Creative Director, Jenna Lyons is a pro at making fashion approachable and wearable for every day. Pair that with their new women’s designer, Somsack Sikhounmuong (who previously designed for Madewell) and the SS collection was immaculately styled. We especially loved the satin ankle tie block heels.Right now they’re not available for purchase on their website, but we will most certainly be checking back.

Hologram & Chrome Nails

Who says fall nails have to be boring? Put the “Lincoln Park After Dark” on hold for a minute and opt for a fun hologram or chrome nail. These colors are fun to do all your nails or just pick one or two and do some nail art.

Our faves:
Funky Fingers in Sand & Stilettos (bought this one at Five Below for $2!!)
Sally Hansen Color Foil in Sterling Silver

Dig Inn opening 2nd and 3rd locations in Boston

Boston’s chicest new quick casual dining spot, Dig Inn is expanding! The New York-based chain arrived in Back Bay in July and will join Eataly at the Pru and also DTX in the upcoming months! Their decor is totally ‘grammable and their food is on point (without feeling an ounce of guilt).

Shishito Peppers

We’re the first ones to jump on a food trend bandwagon…sushirritos, matcha, ramen, avo toasts, poke…the list goes on, but you get the idea. You name it, we’ve tried it. Every now and then a food comes along that seems so simple and obvious but makes big waves in the restaurant scene. Shishito (so fun to say) peppers are traditionally served sautéed in sesame oil, drizzled with soy sauce, but there are many other ways to prepare them. We’re dying to try this recipe for tempura shishito peppers with Korean mayo. Be careful…1 in 10 peppers is spicyyy!

Adele telling Boston how much she loves Blackbird Donuts

Everyone and their mother was at Adele’s 2 night stint in Boston last week. She sang the praises of Blackbird Donuts and the place sold out the next day at 9am! Apparently she ate four Boston Creme donuts and then sent her peeps back for more the next day. We feel you girl <3, we love us some donuts too.
