Hold on to your clutches, ladies. Wedding season is not yet over. We’re about halfway through and some of us are still scratching our heads every time we look in our closets. Here are a few clues on how to make things easier when picking out a dress for the festivities.
We typically think of maxis as casual but if you can find one that’s not cotton and dress it up, it does the job. Keep it simple with jewelry and a nice strappy heel.
Most of us have some kind of a basic, solid color, go-to dress in our closets. Find a dress that’s simple and fits well then play it up with the accessories. Bright patterned clutch, metallic statement heels, or fun earrings go well with basics.
Keep it classy; no one wants to see your T &A- they’re here to see the bride.
Pack some dancing shoes! Unless you’re a pro in stillettos (we’re not), stash a pair of cute sandals in your clutch for later. Your toes will thank you.
Be observant of the dress code. The style of the invitation and the venue will give you a good idea. Black tie? Backyard BBQ? Estate wedding? These are all cues, dress accordingly.
Don’t wear white, there are so many other options, just don’t do it.
